Zen Woman * NEW MOMS OVER 40: Slaying the Dragons
The decision of Godparents is not only daunting, but reminiscent for me of taking the SAT's.
You ponder the question, weight the choices, make a decision and pray....will I wind up in
one of the big 12 or end up saying "do you want fries with that?" So too, We all wonder what would
happen if our children are left with our "decisions" to care and love for...will they wind up in a big 12?
or will they wind up in a lineup on Law & Order?"!!! All kidding aside, my sons have wonderful
Godparents who I know will care and love them and spoil them to bits; and because of this I agreed to Logans Godfather who asked Logans dad and I if we would participate in an amazing workshop which he created based on the principles of the Dragon legend. We said yes of course, and one weekend in West Virgina, learning about the art of Chi Gong, Mindful Eating and Walking Meditation, coed group exercises and discussions; brought me to a higher level of understanding myself and others, even Logans dad. I am grateful and blessed to have now a practice to help me daily with meditation and yoga, but even more so now the comfort in knowing my decisions scored :)
